Summer Fun
So, I'm trying to be better about Blogging!! Not my strong suit! Maybe I'm just too darn busy to sit and type, but I'm gonna try to do better!
Renee Chambers is my inspiration! Her blog about moving her Family to Tahiti is amazing! She's an awesome writer and you actually feel like you are there with her experiencing the sounds, smells, and sites. While I'm not that kind of writer maybe you can get a sense of our life here! Thanks Renee for your continued example!!!
This week has been crazy! My brand new pool liner seems to be leaking A LOT of water, my van needs (the dealership tells me) needs $1,500 worth of work and we are trying to finish a room in our basement into a theater!
Brand New Pool Liner:
We got a new pool liner in the spring, the old one died on us!! So to our amazement at the end of May we started loosing water. By this week we were loosing about 3 inches a day. Speed is not our pool guys strongest attribute! So, we have resorted to fixing it the problem ourselves! Turns out it's not in the new liner but around one of the jets on the stairs. I have the most amazing husband ever!! I know he can tackle any problem out there! So off he goes to The Home Depot (2 hour excursion) for epoxy. Yes he found it, as I drained the pool about halfway so the jet can dry out!! We just spent $100 two months ago filling the thing up. Oh well, I guess it's the price we pay for being pool owners. It is sure a wonderful thing when everything is going well!
You need $1,500 worth of work on your van:
They almost had to pick me up off the floor. I went in for my free lifetime oil change and WHAT!! So, I called a friend who knows a guy and I took it to him. He said they were trying to "rip me off"! Makes me feel so good about the dealership I bought from! It did need some work but much much less!!
Finish the Theater:
We've been working on a room in our basement now for several months. This also requires 2 hour excursions to The Home Depot! Maybe I should sell the time to Kendal like the cruise lines sell excursions! I would be rich!! Anyway, we are getting very close. Maybe by Stephen's Birthday on July 16th he can have a party down there. Except he wants to invite girls this year....WHAT?
